The IDB Rates Management System will be accessed via a secure web portal, allowing users to manage land records, geographic information, values, customer data, and a ledger. It will also offer numerous reporting functions, including the production of rate demands, reminders, and election information.

IDB RMS will be available this financial year with planned future development to enhance the system. Future versions will include enhanced communication with external software through APIs, such as customer management systems and enhanced mapping.
